Enter the Student Activities Funding Engine (SAFE) at http://www.princeton.edu/studentfunding/. Select the “Student Login” option. Log in with your student group’s Princeton NetID and move on to the next step.

You have now entered the SAFE portal. Choose the “Search for Funding” option.

Next, fill out the fields that appear with the appropriate information for your event. Once you’ve selected the appropriate options, click the  “Search for Funding” button.

Now, whichever funding for which your event qualifies will be displayed on this page. If you’ve followed the steps above, the Alcohol Initiative should be one of these options. Scroll until you find the Alcohol Initiative Fund, and check the “Choose This Opportunity” box.

Next, fill in the fields with the appropriate information for your group and event. Be sure to list at least one student contact email. When filling out your expenses, list exact amounts—do not round. Do not estimate unless absolutely unavoidable.

Continue filling out the fields with appropriate information. When all fields are filled completely and correctly, submit your application by clicking the “Submit Project Proposal” button. When your application is submitted, your hearing with the board can be scheduled on the AI WASE calendar: access WASE here and make an appointment on the next date after submitting your SAFE application on the calendar owned by “Alcohol Initiative.”

Note that once a student group has been granted funding, in order for that group to be granted funding for any future events, it must complete an evaluation form. Forms are available upon request from any board member and must be submitted to the Chair.
